Pipefitter – Apprentice/Journeyperson

Description

Kaynic Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Pipefitters to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the assigned Project Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our industrial operations by repairing and fabricating mechanical piping systems and equipment. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Actively participate in and promote Kaynic’s safety culture, adhering to health and safety programs, policies, and regulations. Complete required safety training and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other trades and team members to enhance safety, efficiency, and production quality in a collaborative team environment.
  • Project Support: Assist in planning and executing shutdowns and capital projects, ensuring timely and safe completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor apprentice pipefitters, contributing to their professional development.

Requirements

  • Registered AIT Apprenticeship (1st – 4th Year)
  • Alberta or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson certification
  • Previous experience in pipeline or facility construction
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to operate picker trucks or assist with equipment
  • Comfortable working in outdoor settings, confined spaces, and at heights in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to teamwork.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
