Description

The Dispatching role at Kaynic is very important to us. In many ways our dispatcher is at the heart of our business both with our client and employee relationships. We rely heavily on this role to ensure business continues to thrive.

Not only is the Dispatcher responsible for the co-ordination and assignment of equipment and personnel to complete assigned projects, but they are often the first contact with new clients and set the tone for our customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create job profiles, issue job numbers, obtain all pertinent information from customer.
  • Maintain, review jobs everyday ensuring this is communicated.
  • Co-ordinate trucking of equipment and materials to site.
  • Dispatching crews to Jobs ensuring all are ready and competent to perform the task at hand, this may require after hours or weekend work.
  • Scheduling and organizing all equipment maintenance.
  • Work with office administrators to ensure rental and owned equipment is accounted for on invoicing.
  • Ordering and purchasing shop supplies and job materials.
  • Assisting in quoting and budget quoting projects large and small.
  • Assisting in new hires with job packages and contractor expectations.

Requirements

  • Organization skills are a must.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft software and more.
  • Hours of service experience.
  • Equipment maintenance management.
  • Mechanical construction and maintenance experience an asset.
  • Construction knowledge an asset.
  • Strong communication skills a must.

Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

Kaynic Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our industrial operations by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This is a full-time position, including day and night shifts, offering a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package.
